Alaska Stimulus Payment 2025: Who Qualifies for the $1,702 PFD Check?

The Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD) for 2025 has been confirmed at $1,702 per eligible resident, an increase from last year’s $1,312.

This boost comes from the state's strong oil and gas revenue, with over $914 million allocated for payments.

Who Qualifies for the $1,702 PFD Check?

To receive the payment, you must meet these requirements:

  • Be a registered Alaska resident
  • Have lived in Alaska continuously for at least 12 months before applying
  • Plan to remain in Alaska permanently
  • Have spent at least 72 hours in the state in the past 24 months
  • Have no felony convictions in the last year and limited misdemeanor history

Payment and Future Plans

The first PFD payments were issued in early 2025.

While Governor Dunleavy proposed a $3,500 dividend, lawmakers settled on $1,702 under the 75-25 formula, which directs most fund earnings to state services.

More than 600,000 Alaskans are eligible, and the Legislature slightly increased the payment due to unexpected oil revenue gains.
